Was just looking down one of those facebook list links and after a while it suddenly took me to this books4you page mid-scroll so when i took my finger away it took that as a click and then i recieved this message "FreeMsg: Thank you for subscribing to Books4you for £4.50 every week from Lasevia until you text STOP to 83463. HELP? 03300538806". The previous talk on this says text back stop but i went to and its telling me it'll charge to send? Didn't want to risk it, what should i do?

Hi @E453

Take a look at this help thread about premium rate scams https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Have-you-fallen-for-or-been-conned-into-a-premium-rate-s...

Also this might help https://payforitsucks.co.uk/

Also being charged to send Stop to a number will be less than £4.50 a week. Though it doesn't always work...

Something else you can do to avoid this happening again. Contact customer services https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

and ask them to put these bars on your account

  • Bar all Direct to Bill Debits
  • Premium Bar (calls to premium numbers, 090, 070 etc.)

@Sheeny

Lots of advice on this thread already and some additional info here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Discussions-and-Feedback/Help-put-a-stop-to-Payforit-scams/m-p/1157435...
