Barring cold calls on a moto g 4g

Hi guys,

So, some of u might've seen me on another thread trying to work out how to bar certain annoying incoming calls on my Moto G 4g... Without using a call barring app..

I have a call barring app, and it kinda works, but a lot of calls still manager to creep through (beyond annoying lol)..

I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this using the phones software?

Barring usually means outgoing calls, blocking for incoming.

Thanks for that @perksie *updates spiel in head to blocking ;)* but it's as I feared, it just doesn't have that function "out of the box" as it were...! Good tip to send them to vm though.

Yes, send the so and so's to voicemail, they'll enjoy that.

There are many apps out there that will block calls. If you have one that isn't working very well, just try another.

Here's a basic rule of thumb. If you receive a call from a number that isn't known to you, and they are trying to sell you something.......hang up. Just hang up. Don't engage in any conversation with them, or start asking them questions. Just hang up. If you have an app that enables you to block numbers, you can then add that number to the list.

Well put @Bambino  Also as @MI5  says change marketing preferences in MyO2 (in case any of them are generated via that route)

The problem being that they work on a 2% success ratio. For every 100 cold calls they prey on the 2 that unwittingly sign up.  They are happy with that sort of percentage.  They prey on the innocent and the gullible.
