I got my phont stolen on holiday and have got my replacement phone this morning at 11am and I went onto o2 chat and ask them to activate my sim card it has now been 6 hours and it is still not working

it states online around 30 minutes

does anyone know how long this process takes?

I would get back onto them and ask them to remove the block on your account too or else it could be a very long wait for you wink

Yes they would have barred the original sim card so that bar now needs to be removed. Just a simple call or use webchat.

A block would have been applied to your account to prevent the person who stole/found your phone from using it.
It's a bit inconvenient but could potentially save you thousands of pounds of unauthorised usage on your account.

Hello

they are listing the block now and hopefully my phone will be working

The block was put on as soon as I realised my phone was missing, which was around 4 weeks ago now

It going to be weird having my phone back LOL i will now have to talk to people again !!!

Thanks again for the advice, I would still be getting frustrated if I had not realised about the block

Thanks again
