The transfer from old phone to new went smoothly (eSIM), but 2 hours after the process was complete I got an sms saying “just confirming your order has gone through, we’ve now removed your 5G access bolt on”

What is this all about? I’ve made no changes to my o2 account or tariff.

You can add it back for free in the my o2 app it’s removed in case you go to a phone without 5g - go to buy bolt ons and select the “other” category, select it there, it’s free.

O2 should copy and paste this in the email they send out to everyone explaining why the 5G bolt on is removed. Moralneeeick explained perfectly how to get the 5G BOLT ON Re-added. This post should be put at the top of the list for people to read first.
