Anyone got an automated text from O2UK this morning saying:

"Hi. It looks like you recently sent a premium text (SMS).

Just to let you know, this sort of text isn't included in your tariff"

Ive not sent anything. Rarely send texts and last one i sent was a few days ago and didnt contain and pics or emojis that sometimes get charged

MyO2 not showing anything yet either (although this can take time to update)

Hi @paulbacon

It's a well known scam. Occasionally others have been charged for it.
Block the number and report it free to 7726.

payforitsucks is also a good website for advice in reclaiming any charges to your account

Also call customer service and have them place a bar on charge to mobile and a zero spend cap

Googling this seems its a scam. But its a good one

It came on the number all o2 texts come from. No spelling mistakes and the link looked real (no dodgy looking URL but i suspect this would redirect if you click it)

I didnt block the number as its from the genuine O2UK number (the same number they sent offer texts through etc)

Thats what made it look so genuine
