I moved overseas and want to keep my number so I went payg. I now find I am being billed £10 per month for recieving two texts per month with no option to change.
How did this happen and why can't I change it to classic payg?

From O2 page on Classic. You should have been told.
Please note, this tariff is no longer available to existing customers wishing to switch to the tariff. If you are not already on this tariff you will not be able to switch to it.

I think you can still buy the Classic PAYG sims for O2 from Tesco (or you could a week ago)

I think I have some left but it's difficult if overseas and wanting to keep the same number. It's a shame this wasn't explained.
However, as far as I'm aware, you don't need to top up monthly just to keep the number active. You just don't get any allowances.
If you want to use it though then you will have to top up each month.
Does anyone now if you can port your number to another network whilst overseas? That may be the best solution if it's possible.
