Hello! My name is Kate.

Im leaving the UK for 5 months. I dont want to cancel my tariff and get the new number when I'll be back and I also dont want to pay that much all these 5 months (because ill be out of country).

Pay as you go? How does it work? Will I have the same number as I have right now? I'm leaving on 20.04.2019 and if I order this sim now, I have time till it reaches me. But I dont know how does it work etc.

Also, when I'll be back, I would like to go back tto my plan again.

Sounds like a contract in which case, unless it has run it's minimum term, you have no choice other than to just pay the monthly bill whist you are away.
If past the minimum term you need to call 202 to get customer services to swap you to payg.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@Kate2603  If you're a contract customer you can't just cancel it and switch to Pay & Go. Please see this link: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/ba-p/566774

A sim only contract then? In which case you have no alternative other than pay it off and swap to PAYG @Kate2603

@Kate2603 it is a contract which doesn't end until Sept 2019. You have to pay a full 12 months on it or pay it all in one lump sum.

If you are staying within the EU you can se your phone as normal (dependant on Brexit of course). Outside the EU then you need to ay the contract, monthly as normal if you can't pay it all off at once.
