I topped up my phone yesterday. Every payment would show up and shortly thereafter it would disappear. This afternoon it showed the balance as zero, two hours later the balance was correct and an hour and a half later it was back down to zero. Have tried message o2 on Facebook but no response, of course. Any suggestions?

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

Bear in mind that O2 take £2.00 off your balance the second you use any data.

At the end of the session of data use, the actual amount of data used is calculated and the remaining balance of the £2.00 is returned to your balance.

If you use data spasmodically during the day your balance can go up and down constantly.

Ordinarily I would say that could well be the answer to my query but I haven’t been using any data. Thank you for your response, however.

Do you actually have data turned off though?

Your phone will use data in the background if not turned off in settings.
