I'm still on O2's cheapest tariff (2g & 3g only) with a 3g only phone which is no longer supported after a date in July. My question is can I keep the same cheap tariff and number but upgrade to a 4g sim and new 4g phone.

Buy the phone anywhere but take photo ID into an o2 store

They will swap everything over to a new sim for you free of charge
