Trying to understand a simple PAYG SIM deal

Hi all,

I've been chatting online and on the phone with the O2 sales team but can't seem to get my message across. Maybe I'm confusing the staff, so I'll try here ... slight_smile

I already have a contract phone that I'm very happy with, and I'm looking for a spare/backup phone.

What I'd like :

- to stay with O2

- an android phone, this isn't a problem, I can choose a suitable one

- a Pay As You Go SIM, this is the bit that seems to confuse the sales people slight_smile

I don't want to pay a monthly bill for the SIM. The phone won't be used that much.

I want to load it with say £25, which will last me a long time. Several years when I

remember the last time I had one with Three. Even though prices have gone up, I'll be

using this one even less. Once the £25 is used up I put another £25 on.

This seems simple to me slight_smile

After hours of chatting with O2 sales and always being offered another contract phone I decided to go on line to the O2 store, here's where I'm looking :

- phone only, I'm looking at 5G ones : SIM Free Phone Deals

- PAYG SIM : Pay As You Go SIM Card Deals & Offers | Sale Now On

Would these 2 things meet my requirements, or is my experience of a PAYG SIM from a few years ago no longer a "thing" ?

Kind Regards,

Kev

@KW4

O2 no longer do what you want.

Look at giffgaff which uses the O2 network as they do what you need.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
