Adding funds can only be done in multiples of 10, 20 or 30 pounds.
When you choose to move to a contract, your whole balance will move. As you make chargeable transactions on your PAYG phone, your current balance will reduce by the cost of the service plus VAT.
Probably not what you wanted to hear ...
One other thing, the community rewards new joiners every month, it is possible you might get a prize with a 0.50 amount at the end, if that helps, and if you are lucky?
