Hope this is finally resolved for you @Anonymous but oh my, what a carry-on. Most unfortunate that the festive season prolonged this for you.

....to be continued....?

Thx all. Lets hope that whatever is sent whether a G4, G5 etc, that it just works as intended. I did forget to mention earlier that when I checked my CS late yesterday the agent had checked with "another", dept and confirmed it was a G4 (as Repair Centre told me yesterday before they closed at 5:30pm that they could not see any info on there system yet). If it is a G4 then I just hope that I don't get any further issues i.e. Bootloop. I'm going to double check at 8:30am with Repair Centre and hoping they can see what is being sent. Still no email received which is strange as I have always been told that I would get this with phone and dispatch details.

Well I have just been in contact with the Repair Centre and have been told that my replacement is a Samsung Galaxy S6. What do you all think, bearing in mind that I had a G4. Would you all agree this acceptable? Just need thoughts on this.

When they were released in 2015 they were both flagship phones with great reviews. I have always had Samsung devices, so my personal thoughts are ...you have a good deal.

Have a look at this article @Anonymous I think it will reassure you http://www.alphr.com/lg/lg-g4/1001546/samsung-galaxy-s6-vs-lg-g4-2015s-two-best-android-phones-duke-it-out
