I suddenly lost my ability to make calls. I was told in a mobile repair shop several people came in that week with the same problem. It is not the sim error, it is not Opus who supply the coverage in Australia. It is O2 having switched off something which has disconnected my phone. Can you please restore to me the service I have paid for. The ability to use my English phone in Australia

@Georgemackley

MAY well be that this is because your phone has been blocked by the networks in Australia because it doesn't meet certain criteria, it's all to do with the fact that 3G has been/is being switched off and between the govt and the Australian telcos some phones are being blocked. This doesn't mean that there's going to be an issue when you come back to uk, just that it's an issue whilst yr in Aus. Lots of stuff online about this - this video gives a good overview of the situation https://www.reddit.com/r/TelstraAustralia/s/YKGjXeKKr

Might be other reasons why you've got issues of course but could well be due to what's happening with the switch off.

Hi Tania

Thank you. I am sure this is what has happened. I wasn't here more than 63 days only perhaps 20 when this happened

My son-in- law's Australian model was switched off for a day or two

Thank you
