Asked to cancel upgrade, can I change my mind?

I ordered an upgrade Friday, for some reason it got stuck on “processing”, I was suspicious because I got a delivery date via email, but not Tracking detail (I have been ordering online from o2 for over a decade, so I knew this was irregular) 

 

unfortunately O2 CS, via X, Webchat and 202 was very unhelpful,  they couldn’t see the problem, and made me wait in all day Monday telling me it was “probably out for delivery” when it clearly wasn’t.  

All I had from Saturday till this morning was “it appears to be stuck - we’ll escalate it, but it will take 5-10 days to get a response.  

By the time it did move from “processing” to complete I was so angry with the Customer Service that I’d recieved,  I immediately asked to cancel it (I had tried to cancel before, but was told I’d have to wait until it was “unstuck” (5-10 days) to do so.  By this point I was sick of o2 “don’t care” attitude. 

I was told that even though the tracking said the phone was awaiting collection, that it would have to be sent out, and I would have to refuse delivery 🙄.  And she said that she would mark that I had asked to cancel the upgrade.

 

Anyway, now I’ve calmed down, another reason I wanted to cancel was that frankly I didn’t trust them to deliver. 

Now I’m wondering if they DO deliver, can I “change my mind” and take the delivery?  Or would they block the IMEI or something? 

I know, I should probably contact CS for the 80th time since Friday, but I just don’t have the mental energy … plus I bet if I phone them and tell them I want to keep it, the damned thing just won’t turn up 😂
