Im going to Germany for 4 days next week and will need to use my phone to contact my friend who lives there. what do I need to do to make sure I dont rack up any hidden charges? Will my phone work over there?

I just went for the calling in-country as that was what the op was asking for. Yes those rates @MI5 quotes are for calling back to the UK.

i'm going to Germany for 4 days next week and will need to use my phone to contact my friend who lives there.

So...I presumed the OP would have a UK mobile...and her friend who lives in Germany would have a German mobile?.....:smileywink:

That was the whole idea about timescales on editing but editing after two people post with the correct information is a bit much. 14 minutes isn't on as it just looks like someone posted the correct information first when anyone who actually followed the thread knew it was exactly the opposite. Crazy.
