Travel bolt on

Anonymous
Not applicable

Yesterday I spoke to your Help Desk and established that my Travel Bolt On entitles me to data outside Europe at £6 a mb. I can buy 6.5 mb for £40 and then buy a further 43.5 mb free of charge thus taking me to the upper limit of 50 mb.

The European charge upper limit of £40 can be increased to £100 I understand.

Can the outside upper limit be increased beyond £40 and how much data does that give me outside Europe?

My next 43.5 mb take me to 50 mb and are free.

I then start paying £6 per mb and can buy 13.33 mb which comes to the £80 and raises my intial £40 to the £120 when my data stops?

Perfect explanation wink

I believe this applies:

We'll stop charging you for data if your usage reaches £40 and you'll be able to use up to 100MB without any additional charges. If you reach 100MB, your data service will stop. If you want to use more you'll need to increase your spending limit to £120 (200MB allowance) by texting DATALIMIT200 to 23336 or you can purchase through "My O2"

I think you are talking about Europe when you refer to 100 mb.

Outside Europe the limit is 50mb.

It is confusing on the web site at the moment. As soon as you look at International the site starts talking about the Europe deal - and the terms are different.

Can you dig  a little deeper please.

We are cruising round the French Caribbean. I'll give you a few names from the twelve we will stop at.

Barbados.

St Vincent

Dominica

Guadaloupe

Antigua.

These all fall into the £6 a mb band.

Thanks. That's what I wanted to see.

And, presumably I could drop the £120 a month back to £40 if I wanted?

Why would I want to? If I knew I was not going to be in a £6 per mb area for quite a while.

Data will be charged at the country rate up to the £120 cap. If you travel to a European country the rates for that country will apply and you would fall into the £1.99 for 15mb category automatically.

But if I am nervous about the £120 cap can I drop it back to £40 again?
