Yesterday I spoke to your Help Desk and established that my Travel Bolt On entitles me to data outside Europe at £6 a mb. I can buy 6.5 mb for £40 and then buy a further 43.5 mb free of charge thus taking me to the upper limit of 50 mb.
The European charge upper limit of £40 can be increased to £100 I understand.
Can the outside upper limit be increased beyond £40 and how much data does that give me outside Europe?

Yes, as per the link.....

That's fine
As I read it the £40 is there to protect people and the higher figure is there for people who believe they know what they are doing - such as turning data off.

Sorry. I do have another question.
I do my 50mb and I am charged £40.
If I use another 5mb at what rate is that charged?

So I pay £6 per mb for 6.5 mb and that takes me £40.
My next 43.5 mb take me to 50 mb and are free.
I then start paying £6 per mb and can buy 13.33 mb which comes to the £80 and raises my intial £40 to the £120 when my data stops?

Yes that's correct.
Also bear in mind that these limits are per billing month. If your travel plans cross between two billing dates your cost limits will double.

Thanks.
The 50mb for £40 is a brilliant deal when even the so called internation sim cards charge about £2 per mb in Barbados.
After that it gets more expensive - but at least the system remains live.
And 50mb is a lot of data for most people.
