Hi, could someone please tell me what constitutes Premium and Information Services? I've been charged a couple of times lately for this, but don't know what it is.
Thanks for your time, Jayne

Premium serices are normall texts received from a short 5 digit number or charity donations or even tele-voting.

The body that regulates this industry is http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/

Put the number into the search box on their site and this should tell you what it's for.

Hello @Anonymous and welcome to the community.

I had a similar problem a few months ago.

Here is my thread: http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/What-calls-are-free-not-free/m-p/796977#M79836

The poem by @Anonymous is very helpful slight_smile

You either contact the company or complain via PhonePay Plus if they won't help.

Did you read jonsie's post above which has all the info you need?

It's all clearly explained.
Trace the company charging you and contact them to stop and refund if the charges are unjustified.
Phonepayplus is the regulator and can also help you.

Actually, it isn't that clear.

I got billed for a lot of what appeared to be text messages when in germany, looked like some 200+ of them, in a week.

I assume it is something like whatsapp or similar locating me?

would have liked to get an idea in advance, because I was charged about £9 for them over the week I was there.
