O2 has become available recently in Harrold Bedfordshire. There is a village Facebook noticeboard and others have commented. Someone said there is a new Vodaphone mast. Is this a case of sharing. It hasn't appeared on opensignal. Com yet but one map shows a mast on the A509 near Bozeat. Is there a list of new masts. I have been using Tugo but I am interested in the technicalities.

The best I can suggest u do is ring up 202 and ask to speak to tech. If there's a new O2 mast then maybe they'll know.

OpenSignal wont pick up a new mast on its mast until people have run speedtests against it.

o2 and Voda do have a mast sharing agreement, so will most possibly be this.

Using the OpenSignal app you can see where cell towers (masts) are.

The below is a screen shot I took just now which shows there are several masts in Harrold.

This is user generated data, so how accurate it is I am not sure - does the app collect data while running in the background, do you have to upload it manually, etc.

Not sure why the website doesn't show all of this...

Just checked mastdata - they don't have the masts that OpenSignal do on the map I posted.

@gmarkj only the mast to the east is a real mast (but still not far enough east) and mastdata will confirm, that looks like opensignal using crowd sourced data that may not be accurate for real mast locations the same goes for the official o2 coverage page for may area with masts displayed on 1 to east

This is one of the reasons I do not trust reports using the opensignal data

For clarity o2 mast locations the ones to the west are the other side of a hill
