Hi, I'm looking for advice on how or where to find my MAC code. I also need to find out where to look for LAN and POp whatever for my e-mail. I've recently had e-mails from some people who use Gmail, and I am unable to respond because I need the LAn and I think POP. The Mac code is what I need at the moment. Sorry, I'm not really technically minded.

BT do fibre and ordinary broadband, their fibre product is called BT Infinity.
O2 Webmail can time out if you're too long so does this forum and the MyO2 pages.
If you use an email program on your pc (which is where you would need the SMTP and POP settings) this wouldn't happen.

I'm thinking of switching to BT isp for a while to see if it is really faster (free for 3 months) but I hope I'll still have 02 e-mail. Re the Pop /Lan question I presume that if I sign on to gmail I can still use 02. I have 02 Pay as you Go Phone so not attached to mobile, this is only for broadband on my laptop. I'm so unused to doing this, sorry if I'm confusing you.

Unless you're changing to fibre it won't be any different to O2 and O2 are offering 50% off for renewals.
The speed is governed only by the distance to the exchange and the condition of the line, and this will be the same whoever you are with.

You can send and receive emails from MyO2 on this web site.
