They will probably get their own technicians to take a look first and I guess it all depends on the cost of repairs as to the cheapest option for them.

Be very careful at PC world
(Several years ago).......
My dealings with them were not good.
10 month old computer (just went blank) refused to look at, take in, sent me home saying "ring tech support"
No help there, after ages on phone, wrote CS completely dismissed, doors shut, wrote CEO fobbed off.
Forced then to make a claim through small claims court
I asked for my rights replacement repair or money back. Reply from their legal department "we will fully defend this claim"
Week later cheque arrived for the full cost of computer. I didn't claim for my costs
They didn't request return of computer so I sold it spares/repairs
Forewarned is forearmed 👍

It's a bit of a turnaround with you asking for help on the community when you are usually one of the 'regulars' who offers advice 
as a byb (by the by) @TallTrees you did well with your persistence att re: your post above ^ ^ ^
