How do I get PIN Code with New Sim Card

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello, I am Dips6369, joined community only today.

I recently joined a LLP Company, and received the Phone together with a new replacement o2.SIMCARD for Nokia phone, but without a PIN Code. When I inserted the simcard it asks >Enter PIN Code:

The company requested the previous employee to supply to the PIN code, assuming it will be same PIN Code.  The previous employee has stated that he doesn't remember the PIN Code.

I have entered the numbers that they were given to me by other colleagues, but they were incorrect, thus I have only 1 more attempt left. If entered incorrectly 3rd time, the phone will be blocked.  Is there a mastercode, or do I or the Company need to contact the o2 to get totally new replacement with new PIN code.  BTW I am current using the handset with my PAYG simcard.

If this is the normal sim card 4 digit number it is 0000 by default unless it has been changed. You get three attempts before it blocks the card but it will then ask for your PUK code. Get this first either from customer service or here:

http://www.o2.co.uk/puk/landing/

Once you get to that stage enter the PUK and it will ask you to enter a 4 digit pin (your choice), then you have to confirm it and your pin has been changed.

However if it's asking for a 5 digit pin because the simcard has been changed, default is 12345 unless someone changed it.

Let us know if this helps, otherwise you will have to do a factory restore.
