Was in ASDA today & found out that you don’t need a quid / token to release the trolleys from each other.

How long has that been happening? Can you tell I’m a sad lonely single basket user....

Your music tastes are mostly the same as mine. Disliked the ratpack though I admit to liking Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis films (forgive me, hate those corny films now see_no_evil) and I was known to sing a passable 'Lil Ol' Winedrinker Me' in my youth D'oh!LOL

I also loathed Frank Sinatrs, though I do think he was a good actor. Loved Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr, as well as Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop, the rest of the Rat Pack. I grew up watching them perform/act though like @Cleoriff they weren't really my era.

My dad was a big Presley fan and took my mum and I to see him in Love Me Tender for our birthdays. As we were walking down the aisle I saw his face on the big screen and it was love at first sight.

I was into Fats Domino, Stevie Wonder, all of Motown, and when they came along the Beatles (though I also dislike Paul McCartney) and the Rolling Stones. Then I was into British bands in a big way.

I also love classical music and opera, as well as country, rap, soul, reggae, latin and rock. Grew up with and love musicals. My favourite episodes from series I follow, are the musical ones: Grey's Anatomy and The Flash being the most recent. So my musical taste is literally all over the place joy

That no matter how much things change, they actually stay the same.

Our government and our opposition are a lying, money-grabbing bunch of swindlers.

Stop the country, I want to get off.

And what's Liam Gallagher doing now I wonder? Nothing much since Oasis. Got a band called Beady Eye who wouldn't fill my local working mens club...

Noel Gallager was the driving force of Oasis... without him Liam is nothing.

Robbie on the other hand, still fills stadiums and tickets sell out as soon as they go on sale.

So  who is laughing all the way to the bank?...'the fat dancer from Take That' or the Manc thug of a wife beater?...MMMmmmm let me think.....Bow

Today I realised that...

Today In 1938, Poland signed a non aggression pact with USSR, to protect against an invasion by Germany

Worked out well then...🙄

When is a contract not a contract?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/wwtwo/invasion_poland_01.shtml

At 4.45 am on 1 September 1939 the German battleship Schleswig-Holstein opened fire on the Polish garrison of the Westerplatte Fort, Danzig (modern-day Gdansk), in what was to become the first military engagement of World War Two. Simultaneously, 62 German divisions supported by 1,300 aircraft commenced the invasion of Poland.
