Another day of glorious unbroken sun.
I'm just hoping they don't slam a hosepipe ban on this area as my garden tubs and pots are needing a good soak every night. Not up to lugging watering cans around.
My lawn is yellowing but not bothered with that, it's a mess anyway......I'd say it needs redoing but hubby would have a dicky fit
Old saying but true, if you have cats, you should never have a lawn....(I wonder how much it would cost to have an artificial lawn laid?)
This hosepipe ban in the UK always makes me angry. I had an apartment on the Costa del Sol. It was surrounded by lush gardens. The gardener was always running a hospipe first thing in the morning. Then there were the pools to be kept full etc etc etc. Water was piped in from Gibralter and Malaga. Never once had a hospipe ban. This in a country where its hot an sunny for nine months of the year....

Havn't been on the O2 Community Forum for a couple of days or so (due to me just not being so good, better now that my son has rung me) ... & ... oh sooo much to catch up on, including @ComaChameleon's new game thread A-Z Cities
I just can't face what's to see on Facebook ... a job for tomorrow

Never thought I would hear 'sunworshipper Cleo' say this.....but when will this weather ever end?
I always said long term heat in the UK is far different to being abroad, where at least you could jump in the sea or the pool. This is a different heat without a breath of fresh air.
Grass is dying, plants need constant watering, my cats can't stand it. In fact my eldest cat Bugsy (who also used to love the sun) is now suffering. He can't be be bothered to go out into the garden to find a shady spot...has gone off his food and is only tempted by water if I take it to where he is currently lying.
He is an old boy at 20 and I am quite worried about him.
As for me....I have tried sitting out in the garden with a good book. Not a good idea. I can stand it for 15 mins and have to come in and flop about , or jump in the shower.
A damn good thunderstorm for a couple of days would fix it. The sun could return after that..
Not much to ask really
