Full weekend of racing at Silverstone. The grandson was, at last, able to use his raceday ticket he has had for 20 months.

He got there early with his mate, sent me a couple of pictures via messenger, all looked glorious.

His favourite driver is Max Verstappen. Race started, Max took the lead chased down by Hamilton at his home track. (They are both fighting for the championship) They had a coming together which sent Max spinning into the gravel and ended upin the wall. His race done. Max was winded and taken to hospital with no injuries.

So the race Ben had waited nearly 2 years for, was finished for his driver in 3 minutes of race start.

Hamilton took a 10 second penalty(even though most thought it was a racing incident) and went on to win to the delight of his adoring fans.

Trying to keep cool this morning. 

Off to visit my mum in her nursing home this afternoon with my sister. We go in her car.

There has been an outbreak of Covid there. 2 weeks of no visiting followed by only 1 visitor per resident allowed except when outside 2 are allowed. Hopefully Sunday back to 2 designated visitors per resident.
