It was brilliant, as expected. So much good stuff on TV last night. Peaky Blinders, Poldark, Dragons Den, Sanditon and The Handmaids Tale. Also The Foo Fighters were on BBC4 showing The Reading Festival.....Never seen so much jiggering about  with the record and catch up buttons.

I can't believe I'm saying this... but wasn't there some sort of Cricket miracle yesterday? Courtesy of Ben Stokes? No I didn't watch it ...but did hear on the news that we were about to lose the Ashes and now we haven't. (If that's a bit simplistic...tough, you are lucky I gave it a mention ) No doubt @jonsie  or @MI5  will correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh and the weather is expected to reach about 33c today ...

The Lionesses - England`s Womens football team - play their first game since the Womens World Cup tonight - a "friendly" against Belgium [being shown on BBC2 from 6.30pm]. Ellen White, top England scorer in the World Cup, is out through injury but England`s most capped player - Fara Williams is in the squad.

The Lionesses play their second "friendly" - against Norway [who they beat in the World Cup Quarter Final] on Tuesday.

I`m looking forward to the games and hope the girls win

At least, Parris scored a penalty and Lucy Bronze is EUFA women`s footballer of the year.

Totally agree @Cleoriff. What`s the point in England having some brilliant goal scorers when the defence is that bad

Unfortunately the defence was their downfall during the World Cup. They have plenty of options for going forward but until they shore up that defence it will be another disappointment for the Euros.
