Good to hear it @blissgirl . Apparently meant to be good all over the bank holiday. (for a change!)

Pottering, not potting...?

Odd pots of grass have appeared here, doubtless much positioning and repositioning to come... 🙄

My pots don't need anything doing @pgn.

When the summer bedding is done I have winter bulbs underneath, daffs, tulips, snowdrops, crocus, cyclamen etc. I may get some winter pansies and polyanthus to fill the gaps.

We will be turninwinkg the water feature off in October....

Sounds nice!

No water feature here, got enough of that falling from the sky most of the time. Rolleys

I do imagine removal of a ceanothus is on the cards, it's got quite tall and spread, and although beautiful blue far a month or so in the spring, does nothing but add shade in the summer.

Perhaps not this week tho wink

The water feature was Ray's idea. He designed it and it was his to look after. All was well for 3 years then he 'went off it' (typical)  rofl

Problem was, he planted bamboo in it and instead of leaving it in pots to keep it contained, he free planted it. What a nightmare.

Advice for anyone who thinks Bamboo is a great idea for the garden.....plant it in pots otherwise is goes on a rampant 'Teenage' rampage.....

Ah yes, bamboo.

Herself bought 2 before the holiday, to mask gaps in the fence where the neighbour had ripped off the ivy (rooted on our side, but they want to "paint the fence" on their side. 🙄).

We have two clumps, now planted in builders 75litre flexi tubs - we'll see if that keeps it contained.  That was a waste of a perfectly good July weekend. triumph
