Hey guys,

There have been some really interesting responses to the recent app discussions that have taken place on the forums over the past few weeks. slight_smile

To keep the ball rolling we will be posting a series of threads on the best apps to use for certain interests similar to @Marjo's apps for pets thread

The next subject we would like to hear your thoughts on is sports apps! What kind of sporting apps do you use and what for? What are you favourites or recommendations for others and why? Do you have any suggestions on how to improve the sport apps you use or is there a "dream app" for sports that you would like but hasn't been developed yet?

Let me know in the comments below!

Fan made. But it is his job (among other things) so fairly conspicuous. It's been running for about 14 years now...
In addition to the news/blog, they also a live blog for games in case you can't see it plus do podcasts as well.

I think it is pretty good. I'm trying to get some fitness back after a number of years of inactivity, so any start is a good thing!

Forgot to mention - this is on Android. Not sure on availability on ios/windows...

Sounds great! I'm a big fan of podcasts good to hear they also provide that kind of content.

I'm an Android user atm so I'll download it and take a look. wink They are very helpful for getting the timings of your work/rest periods right and obviously you can adjust as you get fitter.

Forza is football only. Great for your favourite teams. Gives lineups, then a reminder the match is starting in 30 minutes, goals, red cards, penalties and video highlights of any goals shortly after they have been scored. If you wish you can get notifications that you want. Also it covers every league, not just England but the world over including cup competitions and European games, world cup and other federation cups. Again, you choose. Love it! Here particularly because it gives me the kick off times in whatever time zone I am in.

Sounds a bit like FotMob but with goal clips as well. Might have to give that one a try this season. Thanks @jonsie!

@Cleoriff What would you say is the best app for F1 you've tried so far?

@jonsie Nice, sounds like a very detailed and comprehensive app! I'll check it out next time I need some footy news.

Hi @Martin-O2 The best app to watch F1 live is Mobdro. Bear in mind I can't get Sky TV at all when I am in Spain. I have downloaded this app to all my android devices (including my WiFi TV box in Spain) and I can watch F1.....as well as any other Sky Sports/News/Films....

Also with the use of an android emulator I have this app on my PC.....(I know ...me...dumbo)...LOL

Neither of my sons can afford Sky.....but they can afford the £35 wifi boxes....job done really. ...

@Cleoriff I didn't realise you can watch the races over the app too! I assumed it would just be for news. Sounds perfect for when your away from the Sky box! Smiley Very Happy

It's been perfect for me @Martin-O2 I had never heard of it till about 5 months ago. One of my friends who lives in Spain is as obsessed with F1 as I am...she told me she had it on her android tablet. I looked at it and 'bit the bullet' as it were.....downloaded it to tablet and phone.....and actually I couldn't believe the amount of sports channels you can watch ...Bt Sport, Sky Sport, Eurosport......

@Cleoriff I'll have to take a look at this one. I don't have broadcast TV at home so never see the races but I so enjoy them so it's good to know I can watch them through my phone. Cheers for the tip!
