Lost my iPhone but still under 12-month warranty

Hi guys,

I lost my iPhone when I was shopping today and it must have fallen out of my pocket. I purchased my phone last July and it is still within the 12-month warranty. Will O2 replace my phone because it is still under warranty? I would have made enquiries in the O2 store but they are all closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

I have tried searching online for advice but there are too many conflicting answers. Any help and advice you can offer will be very much appreciated!

Thank you!

@ScottNe

You must report it lost Guide: Lost or Stolen O2 Device? - How to Report it

and no O2 won't replace it.

You'll need to claim on insurance if you have any?

Thanks for your speedy response - I will give O2 a call. The phone is not insured so I will not be able to make a claim.

Check home insurance and some bank accounts provide cover too.

I had no idea about the bank account cover - I will look into that now. Thanks for the tips!
