Please cancel my latest order with immediate effect. I was contacted by O2 today and what I was told over the phone does not match the multiple contracts and documents I've since been emailed. I am extremely unhappy and wish to be contacted on my mobile number as soon as possible. I'm sorry to post this here, but I can see no other way of getting a message to O2 at this time of day.

You won't get anyone at this time of night. Sales open at 8.00am.
message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255
Thanks

Sounds suspiciously like you have been scammed, sad to say
Change your account and online account passwords. Not just your O2 account. All of them.

Thanks - I suspect so too. I'm extremely embarrassed because I'm always very careful with any calls I receive and argumentative and nitpicky with anyone claiming to be calling from where they say they are. It was the fact I was receiving texts and emails from official O2 accounts while on the phone that matched what the caller was saying which made me think it was legitimate.
The contractual docs I've received by email are definitely from O2, it's just not what I agreed to over the phone.

If you think you’ve been the victim of fraud – whether it’s because you’ve given details to someone over the phone, or clicked on a link in a suspicious text or email there are things you can do:
Contact your bank if you think you may have given out financial information. They can help protect your account and stop transactions.
Change your account and online account passwords.
Forward fraudulent texts to O2 for free on 7726.
Contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
Call your Virgin Media or O2 customer services number if you think somebody’s taken out a contract using your details.
Virgin Media customers can phone 150 from their landline or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone.
O2 customers can call 202 from their O2 phone or 0344 809 0202 from any other phone.
You can block the number that called you, or any number you think may be suspicious.

If you search this forum, you will note that there has been a BBC TV programme and several articles in the national newspapers in the last few days about scammers impersonating O2. They are extremely convincing and I would be inclined to look at those contractual documents again to ensure they really are from O2.
