Why has my previously good coverage ceased? It just disappeared 4 weeks ago.

Have you checked here Http://status.o2.co.uk ?

I assume the handset works in other areas?

What things have you done to fault find the issue?

iPhone 11 Pro 256gb on unlimited data
iPad Pro 12.9” 2020 256gb refresh o2 family discount
Apple Watch series 4
My first mobile was in 1995 a CM-R111 from sony on Cellnet.

I lost mine middle of last year.

Tested both indoor and outdoors (incoming/outgoing calls and SMS, voicemail and accessing the net). Where I used to have full bars and H+. Now I'm lucky to get 2 bars and it fluctuates between G and H.

Voice quality has dropped and data is hit and miss at best.

I've called o2 a number of times but they state there's nothing wrong with their hardware and it's my handset that's faulty.

erm, it's the same handset I got for my upgrade from this very site that used to work without issue.

Have they moved a mast by any chance? I have total loss of coverage since 2100 last night - apparently a Mast is "down" (hmm - trying to work that out!)12 hours later, and I have been told it could a "few days" - oh joy! I now have an expensive but useless "toy"...Being a Nokia Lumina (A Massive push is on to make us ALL have them!) and it won't go from 3G to 2G - so although apparently 2Gis working, my 'phone won't move to 2G!! I Do hope your issue gets resolved - I have now missed rather a lot of calls I suspect!!

Who is pushing everyone to buy Nokia Lumia's ?

If you go into network settings and switch to GSM Only you will get 2G.....

I've tested my current SIM and with a new SIM (ordered from o2 customer services over the phone ) in my phone, a friends unlocked phone and another friends o2 locked phone.

All with the same result I'm affraid.  I'm in North East Leeds, West Yorkshire if anyone else is sharing the same ongoing issues.

No offence but you haven't read anything I've posted previously in this thread have you?

I'ce checked the status page (and continue to do so) and reported it to o2 numerous times.  It fell on deaf ears after the third SIM I'd ordered off them so I just assumed they'd gotten rid of my local mast with no warning.

Mast Still Down - nothing else to report, there is no point in swapping sim cards! If there is no signal, there is no signal! It's on the web address that O2 gave me - to check your area, type in your postcode, and it will come up with an answer! Mine is as follows :

red O2 error mark.gifSorry we're currently investigating reports that a phone mast in this area isn't working.

This means you might experience problems making calls, using the internet, or sending / receiving emails in this area.
Updated 15:00 (refreshed hourly). Recent faults might not show yet.

So here I wait - if nothing else, I will be accredited a day of extra on my bill - but it stuffs up a whole load of other things which ARE important!!
18 hours now, and counting!
