The Moto G you refer to is the old 4.5 inch screen one. They must mean the new 3rd generation one

I do not refer to the old one, O2 does on their https://www.o2.co.uk/shop page.

I guess it's just the case of my unrealistic expectations - indeed, how dare I to ask O2 to provide a proper link?

When I said refer I meant the picture you posted. I have no doubt that it's O2's mistake, but there is a later model of the Moto G available, and that's what O2 means, although it's very difficult to find.
