Received this email from USwitch this morning.
All these comments on posts here saying 'oh, dw let it all blow over, it's been on/off like this since April, it'll come back'...
Well heres your answer.
What now fellow O2 customers of sim-only deals?

A kick in the nuts unfortunately
Definitely time to explore options come April 2026 for quite a few of us

As my O2 SIM is used only for data on my phone that's a possibility.
However unless I can get a good deal with Virgin it will be bye to both

Why not just use MoneySupermarket and see if they have the deals still for existing customers.. always worth a try

Ahh worth a try @Enlli
Down to money and the fact they earn none or very little from exisiting customers, surprised it took this long in fairness..

I'm on a SIM only, out of contract now, paying about £8pcm for 10GB so I've been trying for weeks to get the uSwitch £10 for 70GB. So now I have my answer, it was obviously not a glitch. Pretty outrageous tbf, but I've got virgin broadband with volt, so double normal speed. But saying that, it runs out in 6 months and my partner is with O2, so I guess they would start the new virgin contract. So all in all, I don't appear to need O2 anymore. Customer for about 15yrs, bit of a kick in the balls this. O2 reception has been pretty poor at times, I've obviously been to the places in UK that comes under the 1% they don't cover. My 4G/5G for past 2 days is terrible, and it's SW London, not exactly out in the sticks.

Thanks for sending over the link. I'm not happy with O2 though, this was an insult to loyal customers, so I've requested my PAC code today and switching to Vodafone tomorrow.
