Samsung Galaxy S2 orders

What is going on with the orders on this phone?
It's been a total shambles!
Misinformation, lack of emails, orders stuck "In Progress"...
It's really not good enough, all customers want to know is "When will I get my phone!"
I really don't understand how o2 can be so bad with telling the truth to their customers...so, a simple one:
Have you got stock of the Samsung Galaxy S2, as of now (09th May), for either contract or payg?

The Poll image below highlights the issues that many of the customers are having:

Same story here.
Ordered on friday and chose monday delivery, stayed in all day and nothing arrived. After contacting o2 and finding out my order number (apparently o2 dont bother sending emails with your purchase info) i found out it was out of stock - cheers for letting me know. They refused to change the delivery address or ensure it was delivered before 12.
Got a text today saying it was out for delivery and a tracking number. True enough dhl said it was in a van. Made sure i got home in good time and spent the evening in waiting for delivery. At 9pm i checked the dhl site again to read that at 20.51 no one was home so a card was left...both of which are lies. O2's text had a mobile number of the dhl courier, tried callung it and realised it was only 10 digits and wouldnt go through - amazing.
So i dont have a card or missed delivery card and waited for nothing - again. So who knows when i'll get the phone i paid for a week ago.
Thanks O2, your service is as pathetic as ever.

the galaxy s2 is more popular than the ip4 o2 sales and upgrade channels should stop selling online and over the phone the day before they run out of stock or maybe earlier dependant on handset popularity to stop this problem..but they won't.. delivery dates are subject to change for stock to come back in and amount of over orders will affect this

i had a phone call earlier from o2 after lodging a complaint in a few days ago about being told numerous times "my phone will arrive tomorrow" she kept explaining to me about the low stock they have ect.. i was told last week they are expected stock back in on the 16th, but the way she kept going on to me about low stock & high demand for the phone was like she was trying to tell me i wont be recieving my phone this week either! i ordered my phone on the 4th & trying to remain patient..

Just got off the phone with the sales team and got a very helpful bloke called David Peers. I only call him out by name because he was really good unlike some of the others I have dealt with.
He is sending the order through to the warehouse again and is going to call me back later today to let me know whether I need to take tomorrow off or not.
The interesting thing is that I was told previously that once you have placed an order you go into a queue on a first come first served basis. This clearly isn't the case though otherwise there would be no need to send it to the warehouse again! Other anecdotal evidence from the forums suggests that new orders for the day get priority and then get put on a back orders list.
And with that knowledge O2 have earned themselves a daily phone call from me till the phone arrives.
I'm also sure that O2 staff read these forums, so with that in mind a few suggestions:
Keep us informed. I'm sure most people would be a lot less angry with the situation if we were notified about stock problems (and O2's appalling stock control). Not emails for 'Sent to warehouse' and 'being processed' and then nothing forcing us to chase it.
Apologise. Many people will have taken a day off work to wait for phones as we can't get them delivered anywhere else. The least you can do is apologise for not honouring this, we did after all book a 'next-day' delivery.
Ensure that we are treated fairly. Those who ordered first should get them first.
Less angry customers, less angry calls, happy support staff because they don't have to deal with us.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is not exactly the best start to being an O2 customer.

I have been a customer of O2 for 10 years (BT Genie before O2). So I tend to stay when things go well. About 3 years ago I moved onto O2 Simplicity as they didn't have any Smartphones that I liked, and two years ago I bought my own SIM free HTC phone.
I saw the new Samsung Galaxy S II and was thinking of changing phones anyway, so decided to place my order online for the PAYG one for £399 on 4th May at 3:12pm. My intention was to use it with my Simplicity SIM card.
Apart from the, "Your order has been passed to the warehouse," email, then a "Thanks for placing your order," email followed 30 minutes later by, "Your order is being processed and will be despatched shortly," email, I have not had any further communications, like everyone else.
Just called them this evening at around 7:18pm, and because I called via my contract phone, I got a different department to the order. The representative that I spoke to implied at one point that O2 are not going to fulfill this order as they no longer sell that phone on PAYG. After I pointed out that payment had been taken the same day as the order, and if they're not intending to fulfill the order, isn't that deception and isn't that illegal, nevermind that O2 have entered into a contract with myself to supply the Samsung Galaxy S II device and taken payment for it?
I have asked the representative to get their Supervisor to call me back tomorrow.
If I have to cancel the order and get a refund, I will be cancelling my Simplicity contract and moving to another provider. I am absolutly appauled at the behaviour of O2 and the fact that it is acceptable for them to take £399 with no intention of supplying the goods, or even to take the money without having the goods in stock to supply.
It looks like they have supplied contract phones that were ordered after 4th May, so they were obviously more important to them than a customer who has been with them for 10 years.
