What is going on with the orders on this phone?
It's been a total shambles!
Misinformation, lack of emails, orders stuck "In Progress"...
It's really not good enough, all customers want to know is "When will I get my phone!"
I really don't understand how o2 can be so bad with telling the truth to their customers...so, a simple one:
Have you got stock of the Samsung Galaxy S2, as of now (09th May), for either contract or payg?

After being promised 16th for stock which it would seem never appeared yesterday I was told they wouldn't be getting any stock before 30th. 2 weeks worth of contract customer back log, who wants to bet we don't get one of that batch either. I also wouldn't be surprised if they actually have shipments inbetween then and that is the date that it goes back on PAYG sale.
The support guy I was dealing with actually sent the order to the warehouse 3 times (I know this because I got the emails). That would suggest that there was stock but it was pot luck as to whether you got one or not from the black hole that is the O2 warehouse (get it, your order goes in but nothing comes out wink
I'm currently looking into the consumer law to see whether it is legal for them to complete new orders placed after ours whilst telling us its out of stock. Have a call back with consumer direct later today.
Also thinking about contacting watchdog and other consumer rights programs and groups, because even if it isn't against consumer protection laws other people need to know about the pretty shocking way we have been treated.

i think all of this has got beyond a joke now! im sick of o2 giving us fake promises and false information! i ordered my phone on the 4th & it should be here by now! if they dont get anything sorted soon im done with o2 & il be looking for a new service provider! ive been a o2 customer since they first came about & thought id get treated better than this as a loyal o2 customer! has anyone actually heard anything off o2 today? im contemplating giving them a ring to see what their playing at!! im shocked at how badly we have all being treated! im a first time buyer from o2 & probably the last time i order from o2 aswel!

Wouldn't buy anything ever again from O2, totally have enough with these fake promises, ordered mine on 3rd and still got nothing yet, no email, no order tracking. What kind of rubbish company is this. Took our money and let us wait for a month for the phone?. That's not how you treat your customers nowadays, I was so regret didn't buy it from CPW instead for 95quid extra at least I can get the phone straight away with SIM Free.
Totally disappointed with O2.

Next Delivery Date 30th May, 13 days from Now which is not even confirmed. They are not willing to honor the PAYANDGO orders until warehouse receives instructions from management. It is just ridiculous and they do not care because a lot of customers are after galaxy s2 and even if they lose some, it wont harm them as lots are joining through contracts. Until or unless other operators do not get the stock, o2 is not going to play fair with customers.

hey all well still no luck!!! they said today i rang up this mourning and they said yes its coming a 12pm 2day well i ring up at 12 pm to be told there is no stock due to the 23rd they have already told you that wich they didnt she told me today im sooo angry how can you beleive anything they say when they keep telling us diffrent dates there blaming it on sony oh they havent made enough so if that is the case why has phones 4 u got it in and other websites?? its disguisting! have any of you been told diffrent? it seems to be the only way to find the truth out is by coming on these forums.
and they should have it in priority from the start and if they had done this they wouldnt be a backlog what is it 2year olds running this company!! or just very greedy people who dont care as long as they sign the contract and pay the money then we can just leave them waiting!!!

I just called Customer Services today to find out the latest. Asked to speak with a Supervisor and explained to the agent that they cannot help as I called yesterday and I need to speak with their Supervisor. Got through eventually.
After I argued that it is not acceptable to take £399 from a customer and not have stock nor inform a customer that it's not in stock, we agreed on the following course of action:
1. I have agreed to cancel the order and money to be refunded today (may take upto 5 days to return to the account, but at least the credit will be made today).
2. An agent will call me back when they have stock and I can choose whether to place a new order then when stock is available for shipping. At least this way I can find it elsewhere if necessary or wait for O2 but have the cash in my bank!
This whole situation has taken the shine off the excitement of getting a new toy, that now I don't think I even want one anymore.
If you have placed an order for this device on PAYG for £399, I recommend you get your money back. They have confirmed that there is a delivery on 23rd May for shipping on 26th May, but cannot confirm numbers of devices, and how many of those will be available for PAYG (as I think Contracts are taking priority).
O2 is supposed to be a large enterprise organisation and should be operating more like one.
If there are 100 people in the same situation as me, that means O2 have been sitting on nearly £40,000 of customer's cash with nothing to sell! I bet the number of customers is more than 100.
