@Enlli
Was expecting that as its RPI + 3.9% and RPI is currently at 13.4%
20% more though is a massive pill to swallow for all customers, although I will wait to hear it from a reputable source and not the Guardian...

17.3 % is a lot.
This plus 3.9% wasn't too bad when inflation was low. But looks greedy now.
And why are most + 3.9% if they are not a cartel?

So with my Open discount it becomes the same price -5% on the current price..
Its greed for the sake of Greed... Liberty Global may need the money after paying out for nearly 5% of Vodafone...
OfCom should cap the price increases at 10 or 12%

Dont get me started on Martin Lewis and Money Saving Expert, although I must admit, there table is the best I have seen on the price increase
When you compare it to EE and BT, its not as bad as it first looks...

It’s a ridiculous increase and just pure greed. My bill with O2 has gone up from £60 to £78 in little over a year. The mobile coverage is poor and the customer service is mediocre at best. I cannot wait for my contract to run its course.

"A Virgin Media O2 spokesperson said that, unlike other providers, the cost of device repayments was frozen, meaning that average bills would go up by about 10%, or less than 10p a day. “This is below inflation and reflects the fantastic value we provide for connectivity that is used almost constantly.”"
Yah - only if you are on O2 Refresh - because those who purchased through a reseller, on a bundled price (phone and airtime combined in a single payment) are now adding 17.3% of the monthly bill...
Methinks O2 speak with forked tongue, as well as being somewhat insensitive to the current "cost of living crisis".
Not so much "Supercharging the UK" as "Robbing Everybody Blind" 😠
