Nice to hear this, there should be no need to trawl the T&C's for the small print which tells you that the branding of unlimited is factually incorrect.

I have also been hit by the 4Gb limit whilst on an unlimited data bolt-on.
I have gone right through the complaints procedure and got nowhere. The best info I have is that there isn't a set figure (yeah right, that's why everyone is quoting the same figure!). Ombudsmen won't touch it as it's T&C's and Offcom won't get involved in individual cases.
It appears that as long as O2 say they have a Fair Usage policy, they can do what they want with it, and don't have to disclose how it works.
I can understand why there is a need for a policy, but I don't think you can call 4Gb fair, when they are pushing people to buy 8Gb contracts. They even told me I could pay to get more data if I wanted - Surely that puts a hole in their argument that my usage is affecting the service to others?
I'm off to see if I can get some free legal advice.

@Jamieg
Whilst I sympathise as you have been down the correct complaints route I am unsure where going legal is going to get you with one.
At one point it was 3gb people we being stopped at.
But Only o2 can resolve this.
Apart from now moving to a new simplicity 4g tariff with 8gb data I do not think you will get far (yes I know you lose other perks of the old tariff)
Even the asa let them get away with this.
