More and more I'm seeing threads marked as new when they are several days old and I know that I have already read them.
I presume that somebody has decided that some threads are located in the wrong section of the Community.
Surely if threads are being moved to different sections it shouldn't trigger a new thread indicator ?
For example :

Before they 'improved' the website, you clicked unread posts and you went to the first post that you hadn't read. Now you go to the last post in the thread and have to scroll back to the first post that is marked new which could be 10 or 20 posts if you haven't visited the community for a few hours. We want it to be the same as before. Unread means the first post marked as new.

Sorry, guys
Lithium reply: unfortunately it looks that this is not currently possible. If you like - you can file it as an Idea in our Idea Exchange page.

In February Lithium made 'improvements' to the site and broke this particular feature. We asked at the time for them to reverse what they did. It fell on deaf ears. Their statement is deplorable.
