Following the accidental deletion of some customer data by Google recently, the subject of backups has been in the news. This article is a typical example :-

Can Big Tech destroy our digital memories? - New Statesman

https://www.newstatesman.com/science-tech/big-tech/2023/12/big-tech-destroy-digital-memories?

Do you back up your data ? Do you have offsite backups in case your home is hit by fire, flood or theft ? Do you have offline backups in case your hardware is hit by a malware or ransomware attack ?

Do you have backups of the precious photographs taken on your mobile 'phone ?

There's a lot to think about here and a robust backup routine is important.

Since I wrote the above post, it has been pointed out to me that Guide: Backing up your phone is available on this forum.

Hence, the article that I linked to in my original post (above) tells you why it is important to backup your data whilst Guide: Backing up your phone explains how to backup the digital data on your 'phone.

Any queries, please ask below.
