DHL Security Check?

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi,

Can anyone here help me with this?

I was supposed to have my phone delivered last wednesday but it was undelivered due to 'adverse weather conditions' aka the snow which is totally understandable, it was still like that on Thursday, then Friday changed to 'security check' yet I received nothing, Monday is here and it is still on 'security check' (dated from Friday), I'm having an awful time trying to get through to DHL customer service.. (I'm clearly not the only one who missed on deliveries because of the snow!)

So can anyone tell me what security check means? I know I'll probably just have to stay calm and hold on and wait for it.. but this is my first contract phone and they have started charging me and even taken the first few days before the bill was sent (I didn't have my phone then!)

Cheers, Jon

I would ring customer services (o2) and explain.

I think security check means it is tracked in the depot to ensure the parcel is still there.(could be wrong)

Thanks for the answer, I shall maybe give O2 a call, but I guess really it's out of their hands now. I just checked DHL thinking it might come today now that the snow is starting to thin.. but it's gone back to saying 'undelivered adverse weather', grrr.. it can't be that bad in Redhill, surely!?

12/01/10 Undelivered due to adverse weather. They're using this as an excuse now aren't they?! Snow is all melting round here now. This is insane! Smiley Mad

But it is up to dhl now.

Seen on another post if you talk to o2 they will refund the charges for days not used. As they will know not delivered.

DHL security:

Sat around all afternoon on Friday waiting for a new phone from O2. When nothing had arrived by 6pm, looked up the DHL tracking again which claimed it had been delivered at 17:22 and SIGNED FOR BY ME, which is the worst of it.

Now O2 claim that DHL claim I signed for it. I have asked repeatedly that they secure both a copy of the signature and the GPS log of where it was taken, neither of which can refer to me! O2 now seem to think I stole the phone.

At the moment I just feel powerless and I'm being acused of being a thief to boot. This does NOT sit well.
