Calling a global sim from my O2 mobile

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew whether I will be able to call someone on their global sim number whilst they are in Spain (UK number starting +4478221...) within my inclusive minutes? I know some networks allow this but not sure about O2.

Yes you can call any UK mobile wherever it is in the world out of your allowance. Just be aware that the receiver will incur roaming charges.

With the global sim apparently it's free to recieve the calls wherever they are (this one is the traveltalksim - www.traveltalksim.com) but I've read that the global sim numbers are not always accepted by some networks as a "proper" UK number.

 Ah right, not sure about that to be honest. I would think you need to call customer service to verify that or make a quick test call, then check if it appears as chargeable in My O2.

Maybe someone else on the forum has experience of this and can advise you better.

I should be wary about calling before you get confirmation.
