WiFi calling only works with O2 phones?

I can't get wifi calling working. i've been told twice by O2 technicians that it will only work with an O2-supplied iPhone.

This seems to suggest otherwise and a call to Apple informs me that it should work.

Aside the obvious lies from O2, what gives?

Wifi and 4G calling work with Apple devices without any firmware (as there isn't branded carrier options for Apple devices).

Have you followed the instructions here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/network-coverage-and-international/wifi-and-4g-calling to confirm you have it enabled on your account?

Once enabled it should be a selectable option in the settings menu

@stolzy

Have you confirmed with customer service that you have the idata bolt on enabled too?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
