Ok well you can’t say you weren’t warned! I have just switched to EE! Have put the phone in flight mode with WiFi on, i’ve just sent a dozen sms messages all through my WiFi with EE, literally no difference than if I had excellent coverage (I have very good coverage now with EE as it turns out as well!).

I have taken screenshots of the before and after I received from O2-EE and as promised I will be broadcasting across social media how much better the service I am receiving with EE is. O2 your complete lack of customer empathy has ensured I will never use your services again!

O2 get your skates on, I am getting more and more frustrated and EE seems to be the only answer.

Just re-signed up to O2 with Samsung S8 24 months, to discover wi-fi calling doesn't support SMS.

I wouldn't have re-signed if I had known this.

I now can't set up my mobile banking apps because I need SMS.

This thread was started ages ago, and it says "SOLVED", pray tell how is this solved?

I truly wish I could cancel and go to EE.

If you are within 14 days you can cancel.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@Jag423The thread was started in June and marked solved in July. https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Apple/Why-doesn-t-Wifi-calling-include-SMS-and-MMS-messages/m-p/105928...

The solution is still relevant today as O2 still hasn't developed WiFi calling to include SMS...

So have I got this right: O2's solution is to say Wi Fi calling doesn't support SMS?
