Sim Swap not succeed after 24 hrs

I tried to swap to a micro sim card yesterday afternoon 4pm. My old sim card died later last night. But my new sim card is still not working yet. My number has not been recognized for over 12 hrs. Is this due to the net work problem? Has any body else is experiencing  the same problem?

I'm having exactly the same problem. Got my phone yesterday at about 6:30pm, when I got up this morning my old phone said 'inactive SIM' but new one says 'no service'. After more than 24hrs still the same. I rang O2 twice, once this morning and once this evening, and both times I was told to wait but that it should be done by 6ish. They suggested turning off and on again, as if I hadn't tried that! Still waiting...only thing is I can't get too angry as they helped me sort out my upgrade!

Same here. Went to set up my new phone yesterday evening, sim swap apparently went through ok. Had service on my old phone but nothing on the new one when I went to bed last night. Today, neither have had any service all day and there are not enough updates as to what is going on as there are an awful lot of problem that are seemingly in the same position, despite the problem apparently being fixed!?!

It's all very frustrating, i was starting to think my handset was faulty since i couldnt connect my sim on two occasions but seeing that im not the only one with this problem has give me some new hope that some time tomorrow i will finally have a functioning phone!

It's so frustrating but I'm so glad it's not just me! Sort of takes the excitement out of having a new phone!

It's so unfortunate that people have been left dangling with yesterday's outage as O2 obviously put all their resources into getting the 2 million customers back online.

Glad it isn't just me, I was getting frustrated with my new phone and contract (never had a contract phone before) and not being able to use the phone part - Roll on tomorrow slight_smile

36 hours and still no service! was told it would be on at half 8 last night as that would have been a 24 hour wait
