Just a heads up my iPhone 7 128gb black has been sucesfully unlocked did it through the myo2 app yesterday. (still on refresh not paid off)
Lets hope o2 have seen the light and no longer make us wait 6 months for unlocks will try an ee sim later down the pub to confirm.
But have had the sms and email saying unlocked !
http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/unlocking-an-o2-mobile-to-use-on-a-different-networ... now only lists the 7 plus as excluded

Making the distinction between 7 and 7 plus seems absolutely crazy to me.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your feedback on this. As mentioned by the OP there are other ways that potentially work to start using a different SIM, however these are not tested or officially confirmed through Apple or ourselves.
We’d like to clarify that we still recommend using iTunes as only here will you see confirmation that your iPhone has been unlocked or not – resulting in a better experience since you’ll see if the unlock was successful or not. We also recommend the iTunes method as it will result in the best possible unlock experience and prevent you from needing to backup, restore, or set up the iPhone from scratch again. Though, we’d like to emphasise the importance in creating regular backups just in case something ever does go wrong.
The method outlined on the page above does work, though may require you to perform backups & restores, or set your iPhone up again. Hope this helps.
