Since recently paying off my iPhone 6, according to O2, I have suddenly (and inexplicably) started using up my entire data allowance within days of my latest bill. After many years with O2, this has not happened before - and I am also receiving texts from O2 to buy more, along with offers of an increase in data for £21 a month. I am not, to the best of my knowledge, doing anything differently - most of my apps are set to WIFI only, and when I’m out and about, most apps are off anyway. I’m suspicious of this sudden change and I would like to know if I’m not alone! I’m now looking at other providers.

This seems to happen a lot on Apple devices. Check in your data usage on the phone how much each app is using. It's always best to reset it each month on your billing date so you compare to O2's figure in My O2.

I must be lucky on our old business account all iPhones since the iPhone 3 and my personal account since the 6s never seen spurious data usage .

Yes I advise that in my first post. Then there is the wifi assist, make sure it's off though I'm led to believe it won't make a tremendous difference but it's better off anyway.

That's another little beauty of android, you can set it to automatically reset every billing date....
