sim swap resulting in failed text messaging

Hello out there,

My signal has been dropping so my store suggesed changing sim - I followed instruction, got my code and swapped my sim.  Since then have had no improvement in signal but now have lost all ability to send text messages. Tried online chat earlier but kept loosing signal - can anyone help - could it me a message settings issue? thanks

It may be that you have been given the wrong type of sim card. Pay monthly and P&G are different and the message centre number is read from the sim. Open messages, message settings and check them.

Pay Monthly   +447802000332
Pay & Go       +447802092035

The plus sign must be entered too.

You now need to get the correct sim or else it will change everytime you restart the phone.

Yeah payg SIM differ. Then again some 3rd party providers use modified pay as you go Sims.
