Every now and again I get a text from someone I used to know and I have told them to stop texting me and they do for a week or two then start texting me again.

I dont really want to change my mobile number if I can help it.  Is there anyway of blocking there number from texting me.

Download AVG from Google play and use the inbuilt blocking function.

Does your phone have blocking software.

I know you don't want to change your number but you can ask o2 to change your number once for free.

O2 won't block numbers.

If you have a Samsung you can block it with the inbuilt reject option.

If you have Android you could download AVG antivirus from Google Play which has a blocking option.

Will that person know there text has been blocked if I used this software and also if at a later date I take the software off my Nexus 4 will that unblock the text.

The person is someone that I sort of used to go out with for a short while.
