Every now and again I get a text from someone I used to know and I have told them to stop texting me and they do for a week or two then start texting me again.

I dont really want to change my mobile number if I can help it.  Is there anyway of blocking there number from texting me.

From their website... You have to have a message in your list:

How do I block incoming text messages (SMS)?

To block incoming text messages, simply follow these quick steps:

  1. From the app’s “Privacy” menu, tap “Call and Message Blocker.”
  2. Tap the “Messages” tab.
  3. A list of incoming messages will be presented.
  4. Tap on a contact name or message.
  5. Select your desired option by checking it.
  6. Tap “OK.”

Add her back to your contacts so you should then get the option to block.

If AVG is not working for you, you could always try Avast! (Link😞

  1. Open the app and select SMS and Call Filter from the main menu (between Application Management and Firewall)
  2. Create a new group
  3. Set your preferences (in this case, I suspect you'll be wanting to choose everything)
  4. Choose Group members, press 'Add a new group member'
  5. Select Custom number, and type in the number you want to block

The group should now be live, and you should no longer receive any texts or calls from the blocked number. The options you have on the Nexus may be slightly to those I have on the Z1, but I doubt it.

Thanks again to everyone for all your help.

So far shes no text me since Monday but I got a feeling she will text me over the weekend. Thats when I will block her. I used to like her a while back but she started sending me nasty text when at times I refused to top up her mobile.

She even sent me a nasy text on Monday and I was silly enough to reply to them after being told to start to ignore her texts but she just got me angry.

Call me silly, but I could have sworn O2 offer the service to block numbers from contacting one another at the request of one of the number's owners?
