Every now and again I get a text from someone I used to know and I have told them to stop texting me and they do for a week or two then start texting me again.

I dont really want to change my mobile number if I can help it.  Is there anyway of blocking there number from texting me.

Call me silly, but I could have sworn O2 offer the service to block numbers from contacting one another at the request of one of the number's owners?

Not that I'm aware of, unless somethings changed?

Now that I have blocked her from texting me after 3 very nastly text earlier the day. One saying top me up other saying send me £30 or £60 next weekend or youwill see what happens.
If I delete her text will her number stay blocked from her texting me.

I again made the mistake of replying to her before I blocked her. For she just got to me and got me angry. After again being told by someone not to replay to her and to just try and forget about her and no let her get to me.

This will keep going for as long as you respond to these texts.

Forget she exists and ignore it all.

If the texts persist and they are starting to become threatening, there's always the option to go to the police. It's a drastic measure, as it's someone you know, but it might be something to consider.

Thanks for the replies. I don't really want to go to the police if I can help it.
Can I delete her texts knowing that if I do her number will stay blocked.
You are all right in saying I need to try and forget about her and I should not have been replying to her texts.

Yes, once the number is in your blocked list it should remain there unless you delete it from the blocked list....

I also blocked her from phoning my mobile last night just in case. Not that she ever phoned me much she mostly just texted me. I think she may try and text me at weekend again.

Im just wondering what will happed at her end if she tries to text me and maybe call me and what will AVG do.

Temp block a mates number and get them to call you, then you'll find out.... I would guess something like an unable to connect message or just a disconnection....
